my muscles hurt after training.?

i know that they are supposed to and it's something that i have wanted for agesd i have been in weight training and cardio training for about 1-2 years now i am a big lad and i allways train hard for the "burn" but just last chest day i dont know what i done different but my bench has increased by 30 kg up to 100 kg for 3 sets 10 reps and my usual after which i lowered the reps for more sets until i get to 100 reps then i move on to incline fky with dumbells which increased to the highest dumbells they have for 3 sets 10 reps then down weight until i have done 6 sets of 10 reps then onto cables which i was most surprised about because i went up 15 kg on each arm standing flyes rep until failure which is 55 kg each arm where as before after all the other training it was only 30 kg each arm rep until failure standing fly after this i put the cables down to chest level where as before theywere above my head and done reps of 20 kg each arm straight out in front fly for failure then onto press machine 50 kg to failure again i wasnt long rest between each set of every exercise as that is my new mantra less rest time between sets. i must say before the weights i allways do 45 -50 mins cardio on some machine runner rower whatever takes my fancy that day then finish off 30 mins more cardio then i ride home. i train 5-6 days a week but at the moment i am really hurting on my chest and traps and biceps and have not been for 2 days now before the last training session which i have just wrote about i had not been to the gym for 6 days because i had no money on my gym card but i kind of thought a good rest would do me good anyway but bloody hell man my strength has increased that much? and i am hurting this much? i cant explain it to myself. i am a qualified gym instructor and personal trainer focus 1+2 trained so i do know what i am on about but this has bewildered me i cant explain it can anyone give me any sensible explinations as to why this is happened to me? only sensible answers please.
